Meet Anna Metzger
The Hunter Hall Director

Undergraduate degree: B.A. in Art & Art History from Dickinson College
Graduate degree: M.S. in Higher Education Administration from New England College.
Why did you become a Hall Director?
I’ve known that I wanted to work in higher education since getting involved in Orientation at Dickinson College. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to push myself out of my student involvement comfort zone, but I decided to go for it and applied for an assistantship as a Graduate Hall Director, and I’m so glad that I did! I love working with students, meeting new people, and organizing events, and as a Hall Director I get to do all of these things and so much more.
Why did you choose UNH?
All of my experience in higher education has been in small institutions and when I saw an opening at UNH I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to see what a large, state university is like. Throughout my interview I realized just how perfect UNH was for me! The people here couldn’t be friendlier, and while you get the resources of a large institution, you also have the close knit communities you’d find on small campuses. Durham and the surrounding areas are beautiful and full of fun things to do! It’s really a wonderful place to be.
