Why did you become a Hall Director?

I am a firm believer in the power of communities.  I became a Hall Director, because I enjoy sharing experiences and learning from others.  I like watching students from various backgrounds and circumstances coexist together and learn to rely on each other in the absence of their familiar environments.  A residence hall has the potential of being a social network, support system and place of comfort and dorm life, in my opinion, is an integral part of college experience.

Why do you choose UNH?

I came to UNH in 2002 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Outdoor Education.  In addition to UNH being a leader among graduate programs in my field of interest, I was also excited about its proximity to mountains and the ocean, where I have spent a considerable amount of time playing and honing my outdoor skills.  New England is beautiful in every season and there are always interesting places to explore both on and off-campus.

Advice for first-year students...

In the words of the wise Goethe, "Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.  Boldness has genius, power and magic in it".  Take advantage of the many opportunities that surround you here.  And actively seek out the reality you wish for yourself.
