Amped Up: Social and Psychological Perspectives of Adventure- Go For it!  Put a little adventure in your life.  Study the role adventure plays in society and your own life. Adventure will be explored on many levels including planning and participating in an adventure expedition.  This class is open to all first year students, the students will be living in Serc B

Want to live in a multicultural community that celebrates diversity? This class explores concepts related to being an active citizen in a diverse world. This living learning community aims to draw students from varied backgrounds interested in this topic. This class is open to all first year students, the students will be living in Serc C.

English 401 Honors: TMI (too much information) In this community, we'll examine the many ways the everyday decisions we make as citizens are impacted by information overload and our ability to think critically and reasonably in a world where all information appears equal. Over the course of the semester, we'll read, write, analyze, criticize, blog, view and on many levels, simply get enthused and involved in freshman university life! This section of English401 will fill the university requirement for first year writing. Every freshman has to take English 401. Why not join us? This learning community will be housed in Hubbard Hall, which is also the Honors Hall.

GAP: Global Awareness & Perspectives The world is changing - experience it! Examine the changing global environment through scientific, economic and political perspectives. Engage with students in the classroom and residence hall. You will be exposed to organizations, faculty and experiences that UNH offers that build on your interest in international affairs right from the start in your residence hall.  This class is a requirement for all first year students who are International Affairs dual majors and is open to other interested students. This vibrant community is housed in Scott Hall.

The Coolest Game: Hockey and History- Learn about history and hockey -- at UNH, the region and the world. This class of 25 students will research the sport through several methods, including diving into the Charles Holt Archives of American Hockey located at the UNH Library. Past course topics have included collective violence, hero formation, and the role of race, gender, and the media in sport. This class is open to all first year students, the students will be living in Gibbs Hall.  You don’t have to know anything about hockey to sign up for
this class.

Score: Gender and Diversity in Sports. Life is not a spectator sport - or is it? Take this class and figure it out. We'll play; we'll learn; we'll change the world. This class is open to all first year students, the students will be living in Congreve Hall. You don't have to be an athlete to sign up for this class.
